Equilibration

We will skillfully adjust your teeth to achieve optimal bite alignment and harmony.

Do you have trouble making all of your teeth fit together, or feel like you cannot bite and chew food efficiently because one side touches before the other, or your jaw keeps changing position? Equilibration, also known as occlusal adjustment, is a procedure that involves reshaping the teeth to improve the bite and overall function of the mouth. At our dental practice, we offer equilibration services to help patients with a misaligned bite, teeth grinding, or other issues that may be affecting their oral health.

The Process

We believe a beautiful smile begins with the right communication and a commitment to dental health. Each visit to our office starts with a conversation about you: your health and your dental needs and goals.

We will evaluate your bite and determine the areas that require adjustment. We will very conservatively reshape the enamel to create a more balanced bite and improve the overall function of your mouth. We may also recommend other treatments or appliances, such as retainers, to help maintain the results of the equilibration procedure.
